GEORGE TSUKAMOTO
George Tsukamoto re-joined the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee in 2010 after an absence of 15 years. He was one of the founding members of the committee. George is a retired Wildlife biologist for the Nevada Department of Wildlife, having worked in all three administrative regions of the State. He served as Chief of Game for the last 13 years of his 33 year career in Nevada. He accepted a position as Game Division Manager for the Washington Department of Wildlife working for ten more years. George is a Boone and Crockett Club Official Scorer and has served as Chairman of Judges for the 1986 Awards, as Judge for 1983 and 1998 Awards and Judge Consultant for the 1989 Awards.
TED WEHKING
The Chairman of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee since inception, Ted Wehking is a retired banker by trade and an avid big game and waterfowl hunter. Long active in local hunting organizations, he pursues big game in Nevada and elsewhere. Ted’s outstanding organization skills and leadership abilities have contributed immeasurably to the quality reflected in the six editions of the record book to date.
JOHN CAPURRO
John Capurro is a member of a pioneer Nevada family whose roots in hunting date back to the 1860’s. He is the secretary of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee. He also was a director for Nevada Bighorn Unlimited, Reno. John is an official measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and kayaking. John retired from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, having worked for the agency for thirty-three years.
JESSEN MORTENSEN
Jessen Mortensen is a bridge engineer for the Nevada Department of Transportation. He is a fourth generation Nevadan, raised in a family of avid hunters and sportsmen. Jessen is an official measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club and the Pope and Young Club and has been a member of the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Committee since 2006.
SAN STIVER
San Stiver has been a member of the Record Book Committee since 1986 and has been involved compiling records since the inception of the program. San developed our record database, enters and formats the records for the book. He retired from the Nevada Department of Wildlife in 2003 after a 30-year career, as the upland game staff biologist. San resides in Prescott, Arizona with his wife and travels to Reno for Record Book meetings. Besides working on the Record Book and scoring big game for the Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young programs, San continues working on conservation issues on behalf of Western wildlife agencies. Hunting, fishing, and golf fill his leisure time.
TOM LAMMEL
Tom Lammel is a lifelong resident of Fallon, Nevada and has been an avid hunter and sportsman since childhood. Tom has been a member of the Committee since its inception and travels 130 miles round trip to attend Committee meetings. He is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife, the protection of hunting as a conservation tool and the protection of firearms ownership. Tom spearheaded the campaign to gain approval of the “Support Wildlife” license plate depicting a desert bighorn sheep that has become the major funding tool for the Nevada Wildlife Record Book Foundation. The foundation has provided funds for several wildlife programs.
RANDY BROWN
Randy Brown is President of MBA Architecture & Interior Design, in Reno Nevada. Randy’s passion for hunting began in his youth on the family’s ranch in Northern California. He is a sportsman, conservationist, and hunter. His hunting quests have taken him throughout North America in pursuit of a variety of species of wildlife. He completed his Grand Slam of North American Sheep in 2005. Randy is currently the acting treasurer of Record Book Committee.
TIM KRETZSCHMAR
Tim Kretzschmar is a Senior Vice President at Q&D Construction - Tim grew up hunting Pheasant & Whitetail in Iowa and discovered the world of big game hunting when he relocated to Northern Nevada in 1998. Since that time his passion for the outdoors and big game hunting has grown. As the newest member of the Record Book Committee, Tim will assist in the management of the records and production of future record books.
TIM HUMES
Tim Humes is a First Vice-President – Financial Consultant with RBC Wealth Management in Reno. He is a Fourth generation Nevadan, sportsman and conservationist. Tim is a passionate big game hunter and when not big game hunting, you will find him pursuing waterfowl and upland game birds with his family and friends. He is an official measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club, and a life member of the Wild Sheep Foundation and Grand Slam Club having completed his Grand Slam of North American Wild Sheep in 2001. Tim has enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence for the program.
